The forests of the Congo River Basin are the breadbasket and home of millions of people. Besides supplying game and wood, regulating the local climate and the flow of water, protecting and enriching soils, controlling pests and diseases and safeguarding water quality, they also offer us the unmatched beauty of the morning mist on a landscape. But the range of benefits provided by the Congo Basin forests extends well beyond the African continent. In fact, their role and importance means something different to everyone.


We sensitize governments, researchers, students and the general public on the need for the application of the Paris Agreement and other international treaties encouraging the protection of the world’s second largest reservoir of oxygen.
